Hej
I'm Iza — a multidisciplinary design student transitioning into a BA in Environmental Design and Sustainability at the University of Washington, with a minor in Art History. After having spent two years studying Design at IE University in Madrid, my knowledge is broad, but I'm drawn to the combination of technology, community, and sustainability. Often finding myself in service of sustainability and non-profit work. Approaching every project from the perspective that the best problems are the ones that resist a single medium.
That instinct carries outside the studio too — through Stanford coursework in product development, strategy, and entrepreneurship, and my roles in non-profit and museum spaces, I aim to solve problems through empathy and inquiry, rather than a single design solution.
Outside of school, I am passionate about photography. Looking for details in the every day and mundane, and occasionally professionally, for events and products. I grew up between the Seattle area and Poland, and I travel whenever I can, eating good food, indulging in my artistic interests, and spending time outdoors.
